Crab Dip
We went to a baby dedication party after church today! I offered to bring something, and decided to make crab dip. I've made a few recipes before, but decided to come up with my own that had different elements that I really liked from the different recipes I've tried before. It turned out really well, and this one was definitely my favorite. It made me miss Baltimore...there's just nothing like Old Bay to take me back home!
Crab Dip
my own recipe...
16 ounces lump crab meat
1 onion, chopped
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons old bay
1 tablespoon garlic powder
pepper to taste
3 ounces grated parmesan cheese
1 loaf italian bread, cubed
Combine onion, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, cayenne pepper, 2 tablespoons Old Bay, garlic powder and pepper in a medium mixing bowl. Gently fold in crab meat. Place in casserole dish and sprinkle with remaining tablespoon of Old Bay and top with parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until bubbly. Broil top until golden. Serve with cubes of italian bread.
this sounds yummy. i haven't been able to find crabmeat in london yet. this reminds me i need to keep looking.
