Here we go...

1. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mashed potatoes. They're just my favorite!
2. What's the most nerve-racking "close call" you've ever had?
We were leaving a local Chinese restaurant, and Jack was walking next to us. All of a sudden, he just took off running, past the car, and right into the traffic lane of a very busy parking lot. We screamed for him to stop, but he was already in the middle of the lane. I was terrified. We both were. God protected him, and no cars drove by while he was out there. It was scary!
3. Name five features your ultimate dream house would have.
Oh, wow... this is tough, but here goes...
A gourmet kitchen (surprise, surprise!)...double ovens, granite countertops, a commercial range.
A swimming pool...we loved our pool at our house in Baltimore!
A library...I love being around books.
A huge jungle gym...for climbing, giggling, and playing!
A front porch...for rocking on our chairs at the day's end and talking with my hubby.
4. Who has been the most influential non-relative in your life?
Besides Jesus, who cares so intimately for my soul...
My adopted Mom, Mercy. She has loved me, and cared for me, and taught me so much about what it means to really love my husband. Her loving advice, kind correction, and prayer have propelled me to be more like the Savior. I am forever debted to her.
5. What one non-physical feature would you most like to change about yourself?
I'm selfish. There are too many areas to list, so I won't bother even beginning. But I would love to be more of a servant to my husband and boys.
Mercy sounds like one cool lady!
ReplyDeleteHope you keep enjoying that vacation!

2. What's the most nerve-racking "close call" you've ever had?
We were driving on the highway in torrential downpour and began to hydroplane. We literally spun across 3 lanes of the highway and slammed into the guard rail..facing the right direction!) I was 6 months pregnant and pretty hysterical. All was fine in the end and I will always love our Ford Explorer for being the monster truck that saved us.
3. Name five features your ultimate dream house would have.
Even though we built the house we live in now, it wasn't fully custom so here's my ultimate favs...
More interesting architecture inside and out
Wood floors
A larger master bath
A sunroom
A very inviting kitchen with a large island for homework and hangin out
4. Who has been the most influential non-relative in your life?
Does my husband count as a non-relative? He has always influenced me (in good ways and bad!) to change and reflect on who I am as a person. If he doesn't count, it would have to the little voice in my head, which I pray is the Holy Spirit leading in the right direction.
5. What one non-physical feature would you most like to change about yourself?
Oooo. Yes, the list could get pretty long here. Materialism and the urge to have it all.
