Works For Me Wednesday: Starbucks Favorites
I am a Starbucks junkie! Addict? Yeah...probably.
Illustration: I once had a $20 bill in my wallet, and used it to buy a drink and just had them put the change on a Starbucks gift card that I could keep in my wallet for easy use! YIKES! (You should have seen my husband's face when I told him I did that...he knows of my obsession and was speechless!)
So, rather than go on and on about Starbucks, and what a great company it is; how it is consistently ranked in the top 20 by Fortune Magazine's 100 Best Companies To Work For; or how even part-time employees are offered full-time benefits, I'll stick to why I REALLY love this place: the drinks! (duh)
Here are some of my obsessions favorites:
Iced White Chocolate Mocha: This drink currently tops my of favorites (it's on my sidebar, if that tells you anything!) It's just pure goodness in liquid form!
Iced White Chocolate Mocha (with a pump of Cinnamon Dolce Syrup): This drink is a liquid Snickerdoodle. Enough said!
Peppermint Hot Chocolate: Every holiday season, I start ordering this deliciousness! Of course, Starbucks is brilliant at beckoning me to order this one because there are pictures of it all over the store. Somehow, I feel like a Scrooge if I don't (LOL!). It tastes like someone dipped a candy cane in your hot chocolate...YUM! Somehow my teeth always feel cleaner after drinking this one! :)
Sweetened Black Iced Tea: (Tangent) Ok, I have been transplanted to the Midwest from the East coast, and people out here just DO NOT understand sweet tea. You can't even order it at a restaurant, unless it's sweetened by some sugary fruit flavored syrup. YUCK! (Tangent over.) Well, thank goodness for Starbucks. The Sweetened Black Iced Tea is pretty close to the sweet tea I would order back home, just maybe not quite as sweet and with a distinctive, Starbucks high-end flavor. And, in comparison to other Starbucks drinks, you can get it for under $2. A good choice if I've made multiple visits that week!
My favorite drinks from Starbucks. Works for me!
Do you have a favorite from Starbucks? Or favorites? I'd love to hear what y'all order! I'm always up for trying something new, but just don't venture from my faves very often!

Ok girl, ICED VANILLA CHAI LATTE, oh yes...nothing better. Of course, $4 later I often wonder...did I ever imagine myself spending $4 on a drink? But I do, and it is SO worth it :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Black Tea as well as the Orange Passionfruit sweetened tea that came about this summer.
Anyone who knows you could have predicted this loyalty, huh? :)
I don't drink anything but milk, water and pepsi! Tea and coffee make my throat swell, but I really wish I could get in on this discussion. I'll just head back down to the picture below and drool!!
ReplyDeleteI tagged you for something today but I think you may have already been tagged, sorry :(
Non-fat caramel machiato's. So ordinary in comparison to the other fancy drinks they have but one of my favorites.......now my sister is hooked on them too! I'll have to try the sweet tea :) San
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this one too. I usually go with the carmel macchiato, but at christmas time I go for the peppermint hot chocolate too. Makes me drool just thinking of it.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are speakin my language!
ReplyDeleteFall- Caramel Apple Cider or Vanilla Mocha
Winter- White Chocolate Mocha (good with a shot of raspberry syrup) or Peppermint Mocha
Spring- Caramel Frap
Summer- Rasperry Mocha Frap or if they would EVER bring back the Coconut Mocha Frap, I'd be there all the time.
I'm in the midwest, too...I understand your sweet tea problem. Might have to try your suggestion! Chick Fil A's is good. :)
You had me at Starbucks.
ReplyDeleteYum...can't wait for Peppermint Hot Chocolate season!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Yours looks so fun!
my snobby seattlite drink of choice...
ReplyDeleteVenti, sugar free cinnamon dolce, nonfat, no whip, extra foam.
When I'm dieting (which is like all the time) it's my naughty treat that's really not naughty! The foam fakes my brain into thinking I'm getting whip cream (hey it works!)
I work under the original starbucks at pike place market and I'm an addict of unknown order.
I'm with you on the sweetened black tea but you have to try the blueberry white tea with half lemonade (half tea/half lemonade) it's amazing.
Wow, I love all these new options I haven't tried before. I recently fell in love with the White Chocolate Mocha, but have not tried it iced or with Cinnamon...yum!
ReplyDeleteI love Cafe Mocha, White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Apple Cider, and Chai Tea Latte.
Those Starbucks people are genius!
Oh goodness, I work for Starbucks (I'm a barista), so I don't even want to get started on what drinks I like, LOL! But you have got some great choices (especially the peppermint hot chocolate - I don't let myself order it until Christmas, but when I do - oh boy)!
ReplyDeleteIf you like peppermint hot chocolate, you should try a peppermint java chip frappuccino . . . delish!
Starbucks made my WFMW too ;-)!
i think we've already established that i, too, love the starbucks. my favorite, too, is the white mocha. but you didn't mention the hot version. do you drink that, too? i sure do, but in the colder months. the iced version in the warmer months.
ReplyDeletei also like the caramel frappacino and the pumpkin spice latte. now you've done it. i have a craving and it's not going to go away until i get me some starbucks. and great, i just happen to have to go to the grocery store tonight - which, you guessed it, is right next to starbucks. i'll get you back for this ;D
I'm totally with you on the iced white chocolate mocha. Yum! I also love the iced Marble Mocha Macchiato (mixed) - cuts down on the super-sweetness a little. (how's that for a mouthful of "m" words?!)
ReplyDeletePeppermint Mocha is also one I look forward to every fall/winter. This summer, I've fallen in love with the orange or blueberry blended cremes, and the orange or blueberry flavored tazo teas. Delish!
Oh, girl - we can bond over Starbucks FOR SURE! :)
ReplyDeleteLetsee...it depends on my mood. Here are my most frequent orders - I am a decaf girl though...caffeine goofs me all up so it is a rare day that I will order it non-decaf. (Weird, I know.)
Non-fat, sugar-free carmel latte
Mocha Valencia - basically a mocha with a pump of orange syrup. YUM! They used to have this in a frapuccino version with little chocolate chips. Oh. My. Word.
Carmel Apple Cider in the fall.
Right now I'm all about the pumpkin spice latte. I actually have some friends that love it too -- we call it PSL time. (Issues?)
At Christmas time, I have to get an eggnog latte every once in awhile.
Okay -- I'm ready for one in the morning!!! I think I might try your snickerdoodle in a cup! I'll let you know.
Thanks for stopping by my blog - I'll definitely be back to yours!!
MMM... Peppermint Hot Chocolate. You just reminded me of that. Can't wait for Christmas. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge coffee fan, so I was excited to to see one of your favs was the sweetened Black tea.
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for an alternative at Starbucks, b/c I'm always there with friends. Tried it and LOVED it!
Thanks for the suggestion. My first time at your blog and its so fun and cute. I'll be stopping by again!
MM
I am obsessed as you and found out I could buy their peppermint syrup for $6.95 from behind the counter. I would highly recommend it, particularly if you are addicted to those hot cocoas ;) You can have them all the time at home now :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try their tea next time! Thanks!
