Apple Picking

We had such a great time when we went to a local orchard and pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago, that when some friends from Jason's work invited us back this past Saturday, we couldn't resist. Since we didn't get to pick apples on our last trip, we decided that we'd go apple picking this time. The sun was SO bright...it was hard to get good pictures, but the weather was absolutely perfect! We had a GREAT time!

Max was able to pick the apples lowest on the tree...He was fascinated!

Jack just sat down on the ground and started eating...one in each hand! I love how he does things his own way!

Clearly, I took the whole "finding the perfect apple" idea just a little too seriously! (And, for those of you asking for a shot of my pregnant belly, here you go!)

I think Max ate 3 apples that day. Here he is on Daddy's lap saying "apple". I love these two so much!

  2. And why wouldn't you love those sweet faces? I love trips to the apple orchard. We always teased our kids that they weigh you when you go in and when you come out to see how much you ate. Good thing that isn't true! ;0)

  3. I feel like a bad mommy. We didn't do any of that stuff. Too late now. Oh well. We did pick out pumpkins .... in the parking lot of a local discount store. Does that count?

    Love that pregnant belly. :-D

  4. Looks like you all had another great time! I finally found our apple bags the other day, but I'm not sure we're going to have time to go back - wah! We'll just have to suffer through apples from the market. :)

  5. Wow! You've popped since I've last seen you, Sar! Beautiful growth inside you!

Isn't Jack a hoot? I love how he beats to his own drum.

And Max seems so compliant and go with the flow.

Jason's goatee looks cool. Tell him I said so!

Glad you had fun. Looks like a blast. Surely you made some pie?

  6. Can you tell me where you went? My sister in-law Kris is coming over this weekend and we contemplated going to an apple orchard, but I don't know of any other than Klackles which is an hour away.

  12. Our apple pie was gone almost before it came out of the oven. It was so fun to get fresh apples.
I think I would have enjoyed going with those little boys. Max and I could have put those apples away together :) You look way too cute for a woman with an apple mission. So glad you guys had a great time.
We did this yearly with our girls and they all remember it with fondness. I have to say, our little visit to the orchard with just the two of us was really fun as well, hehe :)

  13. OK...I am cracking up at "Just Mom's" comment. I have been there and done that. Yes, Wal-Mart counts as the pumpkin patch sometimes.

    Too cute!

  17. Ok - is that just a strange shot of Jason or does he look completely different? Funny how you look exactly the same as you did in college (at least to me) and he doesn't even look like the same guy...

    Looks like a fun day!
