Day At The Orchard

This past Saturday, we met our friends Jenni and Dave and their cuties at a local orchard. Pumpkin picking, apple cider, donuts, wagon rides...and, of course that perfect fall weather. Ok, so I'm being a bit sarcastic about the weather. Can you believe it was almost 90 degrees here? And, we live in the Midwest where we're supposed to be bracing for winter. :)

Oh, but we had a BLAST! This orchard was just amazing...there were SO many fun things for the kids to do!

Both boys loved feeding the goats...

Max had great fun playing with trucks in a large dirt area...

Do you think Jack enjoyed his pony ride at all?

They each picked a pumpkin. We'll have fun carving them soon!

Jason and Jack climbed to the top of a huge hay stack.

And, Max had fun playing in the hay with Momma!

Oh, that sweet family time making memories together. Is there really anything better? It was such a great day. We left exhausted, and sunburned...but, Jack is still talking about all of the things we did. We might have to visit this orchard again soon. Mommy wants some more of their famous Pumpkin Cream Cheese donuts!

  1. Ahhh...sounds like heaven to me!! Cider mills/apple orchards were one of the things we missed most about Michigan. We have fantasized about a trip to Uncle John's Cider Mill (heard of it?) for what seems like forever.

Thanks for sharing!! I can't wait until we can go somewhere that epitomizes fall, to us. :)

  8. Yummy, those donuts sound so good! Loved the pictures! Looks like everyone had loads of fun! LOL, our weather is a bummer these days, too. We're in the 90's and I'm not liking it! Blah, LOL! So glad y'all had a good time!

  9. Sounds like you had a great time. We had some friends visit from Chicago and went to the Post Farm in Hudsonville this past weekend. Although I can't say it was as fun with the weather. The kids were looking kind of droopy and hay was sticking to the suntan lotion.

  15. This weather is killer. It was so
HOT today! We're supposed to do the "Apple Festival" here in a couple of weeks, and I am so hoping for some fall weather so we can actually enjoy the warm drinks and hot food. But, guess what? No apples. They fell early this year and are already gone. Crazy.

Your guys are adorable - love the cheeks. And the picture on the pony was perfect! Definitely captured the moment.

  21. Ew....Ah.....Oh......
That looks like so much fun. Looking at pictures like this makes me miss the United States---not that I ever went to a pumpkin farm or anything of that sort. (I was raised in Florida on the beach)
My children would LOVE to pick out pumpkins from a pumpkin patch!! Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures. Your boys are too cute and the smile on the pony was precious!
I keep waffling back and forth about the name Max--one minute I like it and then the next minute I change my mind. Coming to your Blog and seeing Max and reading his name makes me like that name. :)
