It's Giveaway Time: My Favorite Books!

And the winners of the Short Stop Fall Y'all Giveaway are...

Janelle @ Snot and Kisses.

Sara @ Sarandipity.

Kari @ Alas 3 Lads.

Sandy @ Simply Sandy.

Congrats, ladies! Your books will be on their way shortly! :) Thanks, again to all who participated! It was great fun!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's here...AGAIN! Shannon at Rocks In My Dryer is hosting another carnival of giveaways here...and, well...I just couldn't resist participating again!

A carnival of giveaways? What's that? Well, she's convinced a whole bunch of us bloggers to host a giveaway on our site...and she'll have links to what everyone is giving away. Pretty cool, huh?

If you weren't here to participate in my July giveaway, I think this one is even better! Really, I had to come up with something that y'all would like just as much as that cookbook! And, it was one popular cookbook!

So, in keeping with the spirit of giving away something that relates to my blog, I'm going to give away ALL FOUR of my Favorite Books listed on my sidebar! And, because I love each of these books so much, I'm gonna tell you why each one is a favorite, and then give you a chance to win them! :) How 'bout them peanuts?

The winners will get to choose one of the following books:

The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn Iggulden and Hal Iggulden. This is one of the coolest books I have ever seen. I reviewed it here when we first got it, and all these months later, my son is still enjoying reading and looking through this book with us (especially his Daddy!). This book celebrates the joys and wonder of being a boy...and is just amazingly done! If you can't use this book personally, this book would make a great Christmas gift for any Dad or little boy on your list! To see a great, short video on this book, go here and click "View the trailer". I promise, you've never seen another book like it!

Hinds Feet On High Places by Hannah Hurnard. This book will always be on my bedside table. I first read it during a tough period in my life, and have read it many, many times since. It's an allegory about a girl named "Much Afraid" who travels through many difficult circumstances with her companions "Sorrow" and "Suffering". Through her journey, she learns to trust The Shepherd who is guiding her and discovers truer joy and happiness than she has ever known. I was forever changed when I first read this book.

The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones. This is the best children's Bible I have ever come across. Each story points to Jesus...and "every word whispers His name." Each story is incredibly written and illustrated, and my 3 year-old son is captivated by it every night as my husband reads to him at bedtime. I have been brought to tears at many of the stories, and love how this children's Bible points to God's redeeming love for us. It truly is an amazing book and a must-have for every little one's library.

Good To Great by Jim Collins. Ok, so this one seems like the oddball in the group. A stay-at-home 30-something Mommy has a book about business on her sidebar? Yep, and I love this book! "What differentiates good companies from GREAT ones?" That question is answered in this awesome book. Jim Collins researched over 1400 companies on the Fortune 500 and concluded that 11 of them implemented similar principles that took them from "good" companies to "great" ones. Have you ever noticed that Walgreens stores are always on a corner? Read this book, and you'll know why! This book has impacted me on so many levels...from the way I run my household, to the way I previously ran my home business, and even to how I approach my blog. Really! No matter where you are in life, I think you'll really enjoy this book!

So, here's how to play. Leave me a comment on this post, and at the end of the week...on Friday, November 2nd, I'll randomly draw four names from all of the comments, and announce the winners. The first winner I draw will get the first choice of books, the second winner one of the remaining choices, etc. I'll then ship (for FREE!!) the books to the winners! It's that easy!

BUT, don't just enter my drawing. You can find many other fun giveaways here. Just go to the various blog sites and leave a comment. You'll then be entered to win those drawings as well. You can be sure I'll be playing along, too!

Remember to check back here on Friday to see if you're one of the winners!! Good luck!

*Please be sure to leave your email address along with your comment if you don't have a blog that has your email address listed on it. I'll need to have a way to notify you if you're the winner!
*International bloggers welcome!

And to my friends and family, please participate as well!
