Movin' Down The Line

Now, really! Is there anything else you would have rather seen when clicking over here today than my ginormous piles of dirty laundry? I didn't think so.

Ok, so maybe this face, or this one, but the laundry piles are what I've got for ya today! They're what I've got for me today!

I'm making progress...sloooooooow, but steady progress. We leave for our trip to Florida on Thursday, and with each clean and folded little boy shirt and pair of matching white socks, I'm getting more and more excited!

So, in order to fully concentrate on the task at hand, I'm gonna take a little bloggy break until I can make it aaallllllll the way down this line and finish filling our suitcases with t-shirts, shorts, and bathing suits. And diapers. And toys. And DVD's. And wedding attire. And cameras. And sunscreen. And, the list keeps growing. (Much to my sweet husband's dismay, my packing list is longer than a "we haven't been food shopping in a month" grocery receipt!)

BUT, I'll have one more post before we leave on Thursday. It's a little something I've been working on. Hmmmmm. What could it be?

See you when the baskets are empty...

  1. You can always bring a smile to my face - even if it is with a picture of your laundry piles!

I hope packing goes well - and I'll tell you what my hubby always tells me - "If we forget it, we can always by it when we get there."

Honestly, I've considered forgetting most of my wardrobe and shoes just so I could go on a shopping spree...but I know you know what he means! :D

    Happy Laundering and Happy Packing!

Have fun packing...just keep your eye on the prize! Florida...Florida...Florida...

I hope those baskes are clean now, and that you're resting somewhere eating some yummy chips or tasty cakes. (Can't remember the names of them)

  8. My laundry room looks the same today. Although I have nothing to look forward to once it is complete. I hope you have a BLAST on your trip. I can't wait to read more about it.

  9. I haven't seen the bottom of the laundry pile in I don't know how long. It is bad at my house. Hope you were able to "press" through it :-)

  10. Oh, Sarah -- I am RIGHT there with you. I ditched the laundry today so it is still there -- hubby had the day off, and well -- priorities. :) My baskets are tall cylinders though, so I have two crammed full and one flat one piled high. Best of luck!!

Laundry is covering the basement floor right now in this house as well :)

  12. Hysterical!!! I think it is equally funny that you even have 5 laundry baskets to display your chore for the day. You know laundry is an ongoing task in this house with our TOTALLY INEFFICIENT washer/drier combo. Can't wait to hear how much fun you have at Russ's wedding. Find out if she was Amish (my guess is Mennonite)!

Can't wait to see your post later this week. I'll be checking!

  17. Looks like you took a picture of my laundry room - only I have about 2 more loads of towels to wash than you. Doesnt that make you feel better?

  18. I am chuckling...but with my boys this arrangement would be an invitation to *island hop* and the baskets would end up all over the room...

    those were the days!!

Sounds like you have everything figured out...

  22. Atleast you have a dryer to do it in! I miss modern ammenities. I don't understand why we still hang our laundry in Japan----yes, even during wintertime. Ugh. But, thank you Lord for clean clothes!

Get the laundry done and enjoy your trip!! Catch up with you soon.
