The Verdict: GUILTY!
(This was the scene we woke up to this morning. I'm so thankful for Jason's sense of humor. Upon returning to our room to tell me what had happened, his first comment was, "The camera batteries are dead." At least we have laughter...)
.
wow... you guys will never forget that one, will you?
ReplyDeleteOh no! Life certainly did happen, didn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love the sequence of shots though - and laughter certainly does make it all bearable!!
Oh Sarah, that is HILARIOUS!!! Laughter does so much to diffuse the frustration of kids being...well, kids. I love how you and Jason recorded it!
ReplyDeleteHOORAY!!! This doesn't just happen to our family!! Heheheh.
ReplyDeleteGlad you kept your sense of humor. ;)
:: LAUGH ::
ReplyDeleteGREAT pictures! They are too creative for their own good. Well, at least they give you good material to write about.
Oh my gosh, that is hysterical. So glad you guys can laugh at these things :)
ReplyDeletewow, good thing you have a sense of humor. Hope you can get it out of the carpet!
ReplyDeleteOh mannnnnn... This one is classic. Jack, I love you, man. I really do. This story put a jump in my step today. So funny. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love Jason's reaction: "There's no batteries in the camera." THAT should wake you up.
Oh great not only do you have to clean the carpet but you have to buy new makeup too :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen my yongest was 2, he turned over a can of paint in my den floor and it spilled all over the den rug - then he stepped in it and ran all over the house looking at his footprints ------thank the Lord for hardwood floors!

Atleast you got some cute pictures!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the carpet ;-)
We had only been in our new house for a couple weeks when my middle daughter then about 3 opened a red bottle of my nail polish and smeared it all over her hands her legs my bathroom counter top and my bathtub. I am glad you can laugh so quickly because I was trying to get the nail polish off her legs through my own tears.
ReplyDeleteKeeping on laughing!
Smiles!
Oh boy! I can imagine that you were not happy, but the pictures are priceless! You will laugh for years to come. My poor nephew who is now 15, is still teased about the red nail polish he spilled on Grandma's carpet, when he was supposed to be sleeping in their bedroom. (He was about 2)
ReplyDeleteWell either laugh or cry!! I am laughing myself, as unfortunately I have been there, although it was in a rental car on a vacation!!! Thank goodness for insurance!!
ReplyDeleteUH OH! That is too funny and cute too.
ReplyDeleteMegan has found my lipstick before but hasn't done quite that much damage. She just put a rather big layer of lipstick all the way around her lips.
Oh man! How funny is that & great that you guys do have a sense of humor about that. Reminds me of the time Caleb got ahold of a blue marker (thankfully washable) and colored himself with it & I mean everywhere..if you know what I mean. I started to feel myself get upset & then burst into laughter. Sometimes you just got to do it.
ReplyDeleteToo funny!
ReplyDeleteOh no, my favorite shade of Clinique!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there honey. This too shall pass, I promise!
...well, except if the child's name is carved on all of your wood stuff. Oh, I forgot, she carved her sister's name on everything. How stupid did she think we were, hehe. Oh the mind of a child.
Once my daughter keyed John's car...
ReplyDeleteShe denied it. We then READ it to her...
"Courtney."
She did it again with a friend, this time in crayon on the walls. "Macie," and "Courtney."
"When will they learn?" I wondered...
Then I thought, "hmmm... scary thought..."
I know this is what we are in for soon. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteI had a dream that this happened at our house.....Naaaaaaaa! (Jack, I love ya).....Do you think Max is takin' notes?

ReplyDeleteMaybe he was still in the Halloween spirit, of dressing up and everything?
Did the stains come out of the carpet?
I love that you took pictures!!! That's something for the scrapbook and to bring up to his girlfriends! lol
ReplyDeleteSorry that you had to clean up the rug. I hope it all came out.
There is ALWAYS laughter! =)
ReplyDeletei'm grinning from ear to ear. and yet, i know it's not funny. it's one of those times when a kid does something that you want to shoot (not literally) them for but can't help but laugh, or atleast smile, at the mess that's been made. jack is so cute =]
ReplyDeletebtw, i saw this friday and had to run out, thinking i would comment when i got home. totatlly forgot. glad i stopped by today. it's put a smile on my face now for two days =D

ReplyDeleteI am so excited to have won something! Thank you so much for the wonderful giveaway. I sent you my address and I think our family would enjoy the Dangerous Book for Boys. I have a little "Boy versus Wild" that lives here. He will love it!

I just discovered 4 hour old chocolate milk on the BRAND NEW CARPET in the middle of my son's room this afternoon. Whoooeeee!! Momma was HOT! I didn't exactly laugh like you did...I did a little Yosemite Sam impression, but at least he wasn't there to catch it. Love the mug shots!
