Grinchy
*Updated to add: The Dad in this "story" just walked away upon hearing Jack's judgement on his parenting skills. Perhaps he'll be a bit less "Grinchy" this season...!An unassuming Dad was the source of Jack's full attention at Target this weekend...
Though this poor man was at his wits end, and presumably in the midst of one of those hair-raising, "please put that back", and "no, we're not getting it" shopping trips with his son, Jack was watching intently.
Jack pointed at the man and loudly proclaimed for all to hear, "Daddy, that man is the Grinch!"
out of the mouth of babes - they are so honest, they call it like they see it :P
ReplyDeleteGotta love that honesty!
ReplyDeleteAH hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteToo funny! - Did the man hear Jack?
ReplyDeletethat's so great! lol...wish i coulda seen the guy's face :) have you watched all the christmas movies yet...ry and i are having a christmas movie night soon :) can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAlmost spat out my coffee with laughter while reading this today. What did the Dad say? or do? Lovin' your kiddo's. They are sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteYou know, it really makes me wonder what other kids (or parents!) are saying about me when I've got one screaming, one whining and one looking shell-shocked as we walk the aisles of my favorite stores. What's the female version of the Grinch? BTW, was *was* the dad's reaction?
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny!! I can just imagine it. I'm curious too, as to what the dad did.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!
Smart guy!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE it. Pure truth!
ReplyDeleteHonesty is the best policy!! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness -- well, at least you have a blog to document it in! :) My son said something similar the other day about a scowling elderly gentleman. He said "Mommy, I think that man needs to remember how to smile! He's too grumpy!"
ReplyDeleteoh, that is too funny. you could have added that to tiny talk. and count your blessings it wasn't you that was at target with said son :]
ReplyDeleteLaughing here! But I must say that I DO love the grinch!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Don't ya just love it when they do that stuff!?!

Kids can be brutally honest----who needs a mirror when there are children around.
ReplyDeletePatrick has a similar story from when he was a kid. He was enamored with a black man in line behind them at a store. He turned around and said to the man, "You's gots big lips!" His mom wanted to crawl into a hole. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat story!
If someone is being Grinchy, my son calls it being "like Rabbit" (as in Winnie-the-Pooh). And yes, he points out when I'm being "like Rabbit."
ReplyDeleteLove their honesty.
Eric and I cracked up at this one. BWAHAHAHAHA. so cute.
ReplyDeleteClassic Jack! Gotta love him!
