Works For Me Wednesday: Unique Online Gifts and SHOES!

Shopping. Oh, just typing that word makes my heart skip a beat! I'm happily one of those mall wandering, Starbucks cup toting, bargain-hunting gals who can quickly fill up a stroller with shopping bags.

But, I'm the Mommy of two toddlers, and now a precious little newborn. Trips to the mall that allow me the luxury of carefully perusing sale racks, window shopping for fun home decor, and lovingly picking out the perfect gift for that special friend's new baby are just not possible as often as I'd like.

Fortunately, I love to shop online! I love having the whole world of retail right at my fingertips, and I love not being limited to what's at my local mall! And during those 3am feedings...the stores are always open! :)

There are many online stores that I visit regularly, but I'm just gonna highlight three in this post. I have shopped at each of these sites, and have loved the things I have purchased...either for myself or as gifts. SO, here they are:

Sawdust City - Huh? Yep...that's what I said the first time I clicked over to this site. But, this little store has the coolest wooden signs for your home. It seems everyone is decorating with fun and unique signs in just about every room of their house, and this site has some really great ones!

And, each one is handmade. Gotta love that!

I posted here about our "All Because Two People Fell In Love" sign that is displayed in our family room. I actually just bought this same sign from Sawdust City in pink for a baby shower gift - perfect for a nursery! Most signs are under $30, and ship for about $7!

Uncommon Goods - I LOVE this site! There are just so many stinkin' cute ideas at this store that there are too many to mention them all. BUT, have you ever seen socks as cute as these little ditties? Or these? A sushi tie? Yep, they got one. A shoe letter opener? Uh-huh. You just gotta browse here...even if you don't buy anything, it's great fingertip window shopping!

And last but not least...

Zappos - Ooooooh, I love shoes! But, buying them online can seem a bit scary. Will they fit? Will they look the same as they did on the screen? Well, worry no more. Enter Zappos. First, you get free shipping both ways! Let me repeat...Free. Shipping. Both. Ways. If they don't fit, or you don't like them, send them back for free with the pre-paid shipping label. How cool is that?

Oh, and if you find the same pair of shoes cheaper somewhere else, they'll give you 110% of the difference between the lower price and the Zappos price. Now, that's a policy I can get behind!

So, there you have them - three of my favorite online stores. I hope you get a chance to check them out!

Happy shopping!

*You can find others sharing their favorite online shopping sites at Rocks In My Dryer this week. If you want to participate, go to her site and add your tip! Works For Me Wednesday guidelines can be found here.

Well, after I get home from Bible study, I'll be sure to check out the links (as you know, I am quite familiar with the last one - SHOES - that was easier than I thought). And, after checking out those links, I'll be emailing to let you know how good of a job I did restraining from buying anything! hahahahaha
