Double Date Night

I love a good double date.

On Saturday night, Jason and I went on a GREAT double date!

If you're new to this blog, then you might not know that Ginger and I met, and became friends, through blogging. (And, we have Leigh Ann to thank for that!) After our first meeting at Starbucks, we heartily agreed that our husbands would really get along, and that all four of us should get together.

When Lincoln was born, Ginger and Dave came to the hospital to meet our little man, and Jason and Dave met for the first time. They talked cameras, and Ginger ooohed and ahhhed over Lincoln. I, of course, was on massive amounts of narcotics, and have no idea anything that I said or did. Yikes!

Well, I must not have scared them away. On Saturday night, we had our "first date" with this sweet couple. And, we had a ball! We shared and laughed about life and kids and cars and cameras and weddings. And the stories...Ginger and Dave have some hilarious stories to tell. It was so refreshing to spend time with this down-to-earth, funny, and deeply caring couple. Y'all, they're awesome.

Look at this photo! Do you think Ginger enjoyed holding Lincoln at all?

And, speaking of Lincoln. Well, this little cutie pie was the main attraction at the restaurant. I think he's getting used to all the attention, 'cause he sleeps right through it.

Though we're 700 miles from home, God continues to bless us with special friendships. And, He keeps surprising us by sending them from the most unexpected of places. Even the blogging world!

Ginger and Dave, your friendship has become one of those sweet surprises!
