Inanimate Objects I Talk To On A Regular Basis
1. Teapot - "I'm comin'. I'm a comin'."
2. Computer - "Why are you always dying on me at the worst possible time?"
3. Milk jug - "You're empty already?"
4. Sleeper snaps- "Why can I never match you guys up right?"
5. Curling iron - "Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark." (movie, anyone?)
6. Cell phone - "Where the heck are you?"
7. The scale - "Ew, dude."
8. Gas pump - "Holy cow."
i can relate to some of those.
ReplyDeletehow about the tv... why isn't there anything good on?
or the toilet... i guess i'll get the plunger again.
Oh those dreaded snaps!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I can relate! But, I guess you need not worry...unless they start talking back at you!!!:-)..BTW, the curling iron one is so me!
ReplyDeleteSo...the milk jugs...are you talking about the ones ON you, or the ones in the fridge?? :)
ReplyDeleteSarah... you are a hoot. You really are. How creative you are. Always put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteI do that too! At least they don't talk back!
ReplyDeleteSounds familiar - especially the gas pump. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting post. Now, I'm going to see what I talk to today. Like the diapers for Kate, "You can't be too small already. I'm not even through one box!" Or the alarm, "No, not already!"
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday to you!
LOL at Meg's comment!! :)
ReplyDeleteI share many of those same conversations but never thought about - I'll have to pay more attention today! Heee
Spaceballs baby!! Who doesn't love "Barf"? - BAH hahahaha
I think the scale and the gas pumps have a conspiracy going. The higher one gets, the other thinks it has to rise also.
ReplyDeleteFuuny!!
To add to your list with my own object, the shower head in the morning..."Ah, thank you!"
ReplyDeleteOK, I don't remember that line from Spaceballs, but I DO remember it from Tommy Boy. Brothers don't shake hands, brothers gotta hug! That might be a good movie to inaugurate the new rec room with.... :)
ReplyDeleteI think I might add one to the list if I were doing it.
Lily's diaper: "You gotta be kidding me!?!" LOL!
Sarah, this is such a great post! You always have something fun or inspiring to read! And your a mom of three boys. Making me smile over here!
ReplyDeleteCute and very clever.
ReplyDeleteSusan
Brought a smile to my face...once again.
ReplyDeleteDryer -- What have you done with the matching sock?
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up at your post and several of the comments.
ReplyDeleteDishes or toys....didn't I JUST put you away?!?
I have much more in depth conversations with several of Adeline's stuffed animals each day too.
You are one happy mamma (or maybe one crazy mamma for talking to all those things!) JK. I love it!
