It's $1. It's AWESOME!

Last fall, during one of our MOPS meetings, we were asked to bring in a "tip" to share with the whole group. With over 50 girls in my MOPS group, we got a lot of great tips. (If you're wondering what mine was, see here.) However, one of them could not have been more timely.

Remember this post? Jack decided that a post-Halloween date with my make-up bag would make for some rad early morning fun, and gave our family room carpet a gaudy makeover. We love the memory, but it was a mess!

Jason began scrubbing (after taking pictures, of course!) while I pulled my pregnant self out of bed to assess the damage. We tried our normal carpet stain remover, then moved onto the concentrated stuff that goes into our trusty steam cleaner, but it just wasn't coming up. In fact, it became worse.

Enter AWESOME! At MOPS the previous week, my ever resourceful friend, Jill, shared about her success with AWESOME as her favorite tip. And, since Jill is well...awesome...she brought each of us at our table a bottle as well.

I grabbed it, and tried it on our newly painted carpet as a last minute attempt before calling in the pros.

That little bottle of cleaner got out every bit of the makeup. Every greasy smudge, smear, and blotch. And, with very little scrubbing. It was amazing! And y'all, this cleaner is not just for carpet. I spray it on my toughest laundry stains, and it will get anything out. Also, it can be used as the solution in your steam cleaner, or dilluted as a regular household cleaner.

And, now...for the best part:

AWESOME is $1 a bottle!

Yep, you can buy it at most dollar-type stores. The full list of stores is here.

I heart AWESOME. And, my little Carpet Painter, too!

  1. YAY!!! This couldn't have come at a better time.

One of the joys of moving in to a newly built neighborhood is the street paving that goes on around you. Well during a recent walk with peanut i got some tar on my shoes, AFTER the workers told me "sure it's ok to walk down that road". I'm sure they enjoyed seeing me stop half way down the road and jump to the sidewalk cause i was sticking to the street. So now it's on my carpet b/c I forgot by the time i got home. Hopefully this will work to get the two foot prints off my beige carpet!!!

I thought kids made messes, not mommy's!!

  2. I really need to try this on some "accident" stains that happened this week (thankfully not on the carpet - just on clothes).
