So, I'm Guessing No One's Having Burgers and Dogs?
Well...
I've been so busy stuffing my face with trips to Cracker Barrel and Chick-fil-A that I forgot I had a blog while on this I-just-can't-get-enough-of-my-family-and-friends vacation.
And, then I remembered. But, only because I've got a burnin' question for y'all.
In our house (technically Grandma's house this year), tomorrow is Turkey day. BUT, at my sister's house, it's Ham day. And, by the looks inside the Heavenly Ham store window this morning, she's not the only one servin' up a ham.
SO, my question is:
Is tomorrow Turkey day or Ham day at your house? Or, do you have both? OR, are some of you total rebels and having beef or some other non-traditional Thanksgiving main dish?
Whatever is fillin' up your pre-Thanksgiving fridge, Happy Day Before Whatever Kind Of Day you're having tomorrow!
The whole crazy bunch will be here tomorrow and we'll be eating turkey! We have ham at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy parents and my in-laws live in town, so we'll have two meals tomorrow! Ham AND turkey with my in-laws, just turkey with my family. Even though both meals have the same basics (sweet potatoes, veggies, rolls, etc.), the meals end up totally different!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying time with your family!
Turkey tomorrow, ham for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Sarah!
We have turkey for Thanksgiving, roast beef for Christmas and ham for Easter.
ReplyDeleteYes, we're in a rut. But what a delicious rut it is.
Gobble, gobble, SS.

ReplyDeletethis year we are inviting a family over that does both turkey and ham. they asked if they could bring a ham over. i said okay, but i think it's kinda weird having both.
hope you and your family have a wonderful thanksgiving.
John's family does turkey for thanksgiving and ham for Christmas. So we'll be having turkey tomorrow. A co-worker gave me the idea to have lobster...hmm! me thinks me likes that idea!
ReplyDeleteHope to see you soon!
2 Turkeys at mom's house. She cooks one the traditional way and my dad deep fries one. Oh my I am telling you my dad's turkey is SO moist and yummy! Sorry mom.
ReplyDeleteSmiles!
Turkey ALL THE WAY baby! We do ham for Christmas. Enjoy the time with your fam!
ReplyDeleteWe usually do turkey on Thanksgiving, ham on Christmas. But, if the store has any left because I am terribly behind on my shopping!, we are planning to have Cornish hens tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely turkey and all the trimmings! Growing up, we usually had turkey for Christmas also. I can't imagine anything else!
ReplyDeleteWe've always had just turkey, but Beto's mom always made them ham when she was alive. This year we are at his house and having ham...and turkey :-) Hopefully my girls will do the cooking and I can just eat myself silly.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you last night as I finally met Susan from Penless Writer. I had that same excited feeling that I had when I met you. God has blessed me with some fantastic new friends. Thanks for being such a great and lovable person!
You know us, it's turkey all the way. We do, however, have honey-baked ham for Christmas (so be prepared!) and Easter. Have a great time with everyone!
ReplyDeleteUsually have both for Thanksgiving, and ham for Christmas but tomorrow my in-laws will be having turkey only. My husband is bummed but I am okay either way!
ReplyDeleteWe have turkey for Thanksgiving and usually have turkey and ham for Christmas. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteForget the meat, girl, I'm all about the DESSERTS!! ;-D
ReplyDelete(ok, just for you: turkey on Thanksgiving, ham at Christmas and brisket at Easter)
Now, get off you 'puter and enjoy your vacation! ;-D
Turkey, but I'm not making it. I get to provide the salad (yes!).
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
We have turkey on Thanksgiving and usually ham or steaks on Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteTurkey all the way! We usually do ham for Easter and do something unconventional for Christmas (breakfast buffet, etc). But when we have ham we always have another option available for Josh, who isn't a ham fan.
ReplyDeleteWe had both this year! I LOVED it. We will have ham again for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSorry to have been a blog friend slacker. I am spending time catching up with you tonight!
Hope you had a wonderful day!
