We Used To Have A Houseplant
It was fake.
But, it was our plant. And, we loved its fakeness.
Then, we had baby Jack. He would pull out some of our plant's moss and scatter it about. We'd put it back and sweep up and toss what was unsalvagable.
Then, we had baby Max. And he would pull out more of the moss and eat it. We'd put what was left back and sweep and toss some more.
Now, we have baby Lincoln. Who has taken after his brothers.
And, our beloved houseplant is in serious need of some Ro.gaine.

LOL That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLook at that innocent little face!
ReplyDeleteha ha... gotta give that poor tree credit for surviving as long as he has... 3 boys can do a number on even the heartiest of plants! :-)
ReplyDeletePoor little tree! I had an african violet when Heather was young. It wouldn't bloom. Finally there were buds on it - 3 of them! When they opened Heather picked them off. I gave up. Even now that my kids are older - no plants are in this house. I have a planter with fame grass and a big floor vase with willow branches in it.
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute. Who's looking at the plant? :0)
ReplyDeleteOh, man that kid is too cute! I mean it, quit being so cute Lincoln, it's making me miss you! Love you!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Baby boy is getting curious? I love it! Sweet little face like that? Couldn't hurt a fly, Sar.
ReplyDeleteAt least yours was fake. My boys just eat the dirt and grind it into the carpet. I try to put the rest (smaller) ones up high, but then I tend to forget to water them...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pic! Little Lincoln is absolutely adorable and oh so innocent-looking! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! You could use some more mischief in your house anyway, right? We don't even have the fake plants in our house - I'd probably kill those too. It's a gift, really.
ReplyDeleteSorry we missed out on seeing you all today! The girls keep asking me when they get to see the boys again. :)
We had a plant like that. We no longer keep fake plants out of mercy for the plants.
ReplyDeleteYou sure it was Lincoln and not the little blue stegosaurus? They're herbivores, you know.
ReplyDeleteAs one with a black thumb, I thought I could relate when I read the post title. Then I busted out laughing when I read the first line.
ReplyDeleteHey, every kid needs alittle fiber.
ReplyDeleteI think I have the same plant. My cat like to paw at it.
BAH HAHAHAHAHAHA and *snort*
ReplyDeleteThat's too cute, SS.
We can't keep any sort of plant alive. Fake would be good for us. And my FIL just left his plant at our house while he travels. Next to a plant that has one leaf left. Why would someone do that???
ReplyDeleteyeah, this looks familiar. I tried to stop my daughter from doing this by wrapping the tree in saran wrap. She eventually figured out how to get her little fingers in there anyway.
ReplyDeletenice...
ReplyDeleteI guess there are MANY worse things they could eat or destroy. ;o) At least this one doesn't involve a trip to the ER.
yes, yes.....this is what all our artifical trees used to look like!! How funny!!!
ReplyDeleteso so funny. love the look on lincoln's face!
ReplyDeletei have one of those and it looks almost identical. but in my case, it's the dog who loves pulling out that mossy stuff. can you buy that stuff?
