My Boy

Confession.

I'm a sleeper.

Give me three feet of space just about anywhere, and I'll find a way to curl up and sneak in a quick snooze. Given the choice between a nap and a slice of chocolate cake covered in chocolate icing, I'd choose a nap hands down.

Any day of the week. And, I LOVE chocolate cake.

My kids are just like me. All three of them are sleepers. We often laugh that they bear my maiden name because, quite frankly, I come from an entire family of sleepers.

During our recent trip to Vermont, we took Mom and Dad out for dinner to celebrate their 35th anniversary. It was a fancy restaurant and didn't really have the - how shall I say it? - "entertainment value" of a more kid-friendly place.

My Jack. He curled up his lanky, 5 year-old body onto a tiny dining chair in the corner and sacked out.

    My kids have the amazing ability to fall asleep anywhere (and in the funniest positions) too. We have a similar picture from October at my Dad's wedding...such memories. When they've had enough...they've had enough...must sleep!

    Too cute!! I've fallen asleep on a brick hearth already!

    We've eaten very often at DJ's and Sam's Steak House - was it either of them!

    OOOhhh, I can't wait to go back this January!!!

    That is so incredibly funny! Mine is not a family of sleepers my husband con function on a mere 4 hours and my girl gave up naps at 2 years. sigh...

    That is impressive. My kids have fallen asleep in some crazy places when they were young, but at age 5, that's truly a feat!

    This is priceless!! I don't think our kids could have slept in a restaurant if there had been a bed in the place and they'd been active all day. Truly hilarious!!

    Love this! One of my sons was like this--falling asleep during booming fireworks, under the table at a wedding shower--well you know. Oh, yours is so sweet.

    This is hilarious! As a photographer this looks like it should be a picture of a 6 week old on a vintage chair...but instead it's an overgrown baby boy sacked out. TOO CUTE! Love it!
