100 Things I'm Thankful For

O Lord that lends me life,
Lend me a heart replete with thankfulness.

~William Shakespeare

I'm so thankful for my life. I don't express that enough.

There are so many things I'm thankful for, I couldn't possibly write a comprehensive list.

But, this week, Thanksgiving week, I'm going to spend time focusing on some of these things, giving thanks to God for the many blessings in my life. And, I'm going to write them down. Little things, big things, memories, material things. Just a list. In no particular order.

I am thankful for:

1. The love of Christ.
2. My husband's love.
3. My three boys: Jack, Max, and Lincoln.
4. A warm home.
5. Fall.
6. Hot showers.
7. Bibs.
8. That I'm short.
9. My memories of my father.
10. Roast beef and mashed potatoes.
11. Magic Eraser sponges.
12. My bed.
13. My camera.
14. My friend, Lauren.
15. Christmas wreaths.
16. Hot chocolate.
17. God's faithfulness.
18. Tylenol.
19. The internet.
20. My slippers.
21. Our trip to Disney World.
22. My minivan.
23. My precious nieces and nephews.
24. The DVD player in our car.
25. Visits with my family.

To be continued...

  1. Ah yes, hot showers (not that there aren't many other things on your list that would be on mine!). I think Elisabeth Elliot referred to a hot shower as "an unspeakable luxury" and I think of that every time I get under that glorious fountain of feel-good-ness.

  2. You are thankful for being short? I better not complain then. I always wanted to be taller! I enjoyed your thankful list!

  3. Yes, and attached garages with garage door openers and washing machines and dryers.

    That God is with me.

    So many more . . .
