I Love Them.
If there's anything I've learned as a photography-loving mom of little ones, it's to let my children be who they are whenever the camera is at work.
Staging.
Posing.
Coercing.
Say "cheesing".
Directing.
Wrangling.
Yelling.
Begging.
Pleading.
None of that ever works in capturing what I'm really trying to capture.
The best, most memorable, real life moments are forever preserved when my boys are just - "them".
This is our first photo together - me and my four little buddies.
Picture perfectly posed? Not a chance.
Picture perfectly us? Absolutely.

Awwww ... could you be naymore blessed? =)
ReplyDeleteANYMORE ... anymore blessed!! Sheesh!!!
ReplyDeletesince our #4 was born just before christmas, our first photo op was of the 4 boys for a christmas pic. wow! that was fun (not)!!

Now that's the way to take a photo. :-D
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh out loud! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSarah- You look great, girl! Did you give birth to FOUR children? And one only a MONTH ago?
ReplyDeleteI had to do a double take at your last post. Was that MAX? Max? He's taller and thinner and looks like a little man. And Jack? He's totally a kindergartner now.
I guess I thought those little men of yours would freeze in time until I next saw them.
Something about that little striped outfit that Whitman is wearing takes me back.
Blessings, Sarah-
