Twenty {one} Shades of Green

We got a note last week that Jack and his other 19 classmates had to bring in a green snack to share with the class for St. Patrick's Day.
He was so excited to take his snack in today! I love his enthusiasm for life.
We weren't sure if the Granny Smith apples we sliced up would survive 'til party time. {They're swimming in lemon juice, but ew - who wants brown apples?}
SO.
We heisted all the sour apple dum-dums from Lincoln's "reward" bowl and Jack took those as well.
One healthy snack. One absolute junk. Eh, it's a wash.
So, make that twenty-ONE green snacks he'll be consuming at school today.
Let me get this straight. TWENTY Kindergartners are ALL bringing in GREEN snacks for the ENTIRE class. I'm no biologist or chemist, but I've been witness to some very interesting experiments in color throughout my 6 years of mothering and I would just like to say that I am PRAISING JESUS that my three year-old, not my kindergartner, is the one potty training.
Amen.
i know a mom who put green food colouring in the toilet and told her kids the leprechon had stopped by and had to use the bathroom!
ReplyDeletei wonder if any of the moms came up with healthy green treats?
