[where happiness lives]

  1. Sarah I love how there is no centered focal point in your photo, everything is sharp edge to edge, you would you mind telling me what setting you used on your Nikon to take this?

  2. Hi, Jill.

I shot this photo with my zoom lens on Auto (it was a quick grab and click kind of photo) - letting the camera choose the settings for me. Also, I used a flash since the blinds were closed and not a whole lot of natural light was coming through.

Most of the time, I shoot on Aperture priority because I like to control the focus of the foreground and background. Had I shot this photo on Aperture priority, I would have chosen a stop of at least f/11. That setting will (most of the time) give you a crisp foreground and background.

Here are the specifics of this photo:

    Exposure Time: 0.017 s (1/60)
    Aperture: f/4.2
    ISO Equiv.: 1250

    Hope this helps!
