I'd Like You To Meet Someone...

On December 27th at 2:04 pm, we got the most adorable and delightful surprise.

We got to meet our girl!

{Yes, we had a girl! We can hardly believe it ourselves.}

Holland Annabelle
6lbs, 8oz.
19 1/4"

We affectionately call her Holly.

Photobucket

She has a full head of beautiful dark hair, which my friends with girls tell me will soon house hair bows and clips and braids and all things new to me.

We are over the moon in love with her.

Her four older brothers adore her (especially Jack - which brings me to tears), and all of us are still getting used to the smattering of pink that now graces our home.

But, I can tell you. This little girl will never be short on love. Or protection. :)

I'll have more pictures and stories - but for now, we are savoring each of these new days with our girl - loving her, kissing her, holding her, and Jason and I are fielding lots of questions from her brothers. Oh, the questions...

And, we're asking many of our own.

Mainly...

How good is our God to bless us with such a precious and unexpected gift?

  2. How wonderful for you!!! Your story mirrors mine, in that I had 4 boys, followed by, well, I have TWO girls but who knows what is in your future?!! :) Enjoy that sweet little lady of yours, and PINK!! For me it was weird for a while just changing diapers and not seeing boy parts. LOL. How lucky she is to have four older brothers. God bless you and your beautiful family!!

  3. Congratulations! I've been checking your blog to see if there was any news and wow... a girl?! That's wonderful. I have one boy and I already think it would be an adjustment having a girl. I can't imagine being mama to 4 boys and then adding a little lady to the family. Wonderful! (Beautiful name, too.)

  5. So happy for you and your family. Wasn't Jack the one who didn't know if he would like having a sister? And look how much he already loves her. What a blessing. Praising God for his gift to you all and for a safe pregnancy and delivery of Baby Holly! I know her brothers will be her most fierce protectors :)
    Blessings to all,

  25. Sarah, somehow I missed Holly's birth announcement until your chicken recipe came out. I had to read the first paragraph several times as it sunk in--they had a GIRL! I'm so happy for you, though as a mom of 3 boys and no girls, I know you would have been thrilled to welcome another boy. Isn't it wonderful how God grants us the desires of our hearts?! Congratulations to you and your men as you welcome this little princess into the world!
